Diagnostic Evaluation of Streptococcus gallolyticus Infection in Patients with Colon Diseases by PCR Method

Objective: Different types of Streptococcus gallolyticus are associated with malignant colorectal cancer. This study aimed at scrutinizing the S. screening using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Methods: A descriptive was conducted to detect in 55 patients colon diseases referring hospitals Babol and Chalus, Iran. PCR culture techniques were performed. Detection after DNA extraction from designed primers (PCO3 PCO4) done for SODA gene. Fisher's exact test used analysis results. P < 0.05 considered significant. Results: Of biopsy samples diseases, 3 (5.5%) 95% confidence interval 52 (94.5%) reported negative terms gallolyticus. In gels, remaining 406 bp band performing showed that all good condition considering quality. Conclusion: Specific probes have been l6S rD. now allow rapid identification strains clinical other scientific investigations disease.
